Louisa Jinks
Counsellor/Psychotherapist MBACP (Accred);
UK Reg Ind Counsellor; Dip Counselling
PG Cert in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
I am an experienced Person-Centred Therapist
who has been practising for the past 8 years.
I also integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
and Person-Centred Art Therapy skills into my
practise, if appropriate. I am qualified to work
with individuals and couples on a time limited
and open-ended basis. I qualified from the University of Warwick in 2004 and I became an accredited therapist with the BACP in 2007, I am also a member of the UKRC and BABCP.
I have a wealth of experience of working with individuals and couples from all different backgrounds and cultures who present with a broad range of issues. These issues include addiction, (substance and alcohol misuse), depression, anxiety, abuse, bereavement & loss, sexuality issues, HIV related issues and emotional and relationship difficulties and work related stress.
At present I work in private practice and as an affiliated therapist for a number of Corporate Employee Assisted Providers. I also co-manage a voluntary ‘in house’ counselling service within a GP’s practice in Leamington Spa, Warks. Previously, I worked as a therapist for 4 years within a substance misuse agency, counselling clients with addictions. I work from 4 different areas, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Solihull.
My personal and professional development is of utmost importance. I regularly attend appropriate courses that meet the needs of my individual development. I attend regular ongoing clinical supervision and I have my own Professional Liability Insurance. I also have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Certificate (CRB).

Counsellor/Psychotherapist MBACP;
Dip Counselling; Certificate in Person-
Centred Art Therapy Skills.
I am a qualified, Person-Centred
Counsellor/Psychotherapist in private practice, I am a
member of the BACP and am currently working towards accreditation.
I have over 7 years experience of working with people with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, bereavement and other issues which affect people on a daily basis.
I have helped set up and now co-manage a voluntary “in-house” counselling service at a NHS Medical Practice in Warwickshire. I am true to my chosen modality of counselling and also integrate different ways of working to suit the individuals and couples that I work with, including using art therapy skills, where appropriate.
As a Counsellor/Psychotherapist it is essential to continue my own personal and professional development to aid my practice and I do this by attending workshops, courses and professional supervision on a regular basis. I also have my own Professional Liability Insurance.
